Title | B2b Meetings with Global Asian Company |
Event Date | 29 April, 2025 |
Description |
As part of the Apparel Export Council of Egypt’s efforts to attract foreign investment, engage international clients, and create new export opportunities, a series of coordination meetings was organized between one of the leading global companies in the apparel sector, with operations in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Guatemala, and several Egyptian factories specializing in the production of women's blouses, dresses, skirts, and woven trousers. The aim was to explore potential collaboration and the possibility of signing export agreements. During the meetings, Mrs. Sherin Hosni, AECE Executive Director, welcomed representatives of the group and emphasized that Egypt offers an attractive investment environment, thanks to its competitive production costs, availability of skilled labor, and strategic geographic location that facilitates access to various regional and international markets. She also highlighted that Egypt’s numerous trade agreements with key global partners provide significant opportunities for Egyptian exports to grow and expand without customs barriers. The group representative said that in light of rising production and transportation costs in Asian countries, along with the imposition of new tariffs by former U.S. President Donald Trump, the company has begun seeking regional partners with competitive advantages and strategic proximity to global markets—such as Egypt. |
