Description	In the framework of the EU-funded SwitchMed/MED TEST III project, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Apparel Export Council of Egypt, Egypt Textiles and Home Textiles Export Council, and other related entities; a seminar has been organised under the title: “Promotion of Textile Recycling Business Opportunities” The seminar has been structured in a panel discussion addressing the opportunities and challenges of adopting circular and recycling business models in the apparel and textile industry, both for the local and international markets. The panel discussion was followed by a presentation on the investment opportunities using different techniques developed by the project. Furthermore, different technologies have been presented by a number of invited European companies specialized in the supply of mechanical and chemical recycling lines. Participants had the opportunity to learn about a number of available financing instruments. By the end of the seminar, business-to-business (B2B) meetings have been organised between the invited recycling equipment companies and investors interested to know further details on the equipment and costs.
