Description	As part of the second phase of the GTEX MENATEX Egypt project, implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) with joint funding from the Swiss and Swedish governments, and in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Industry, the Apparel Export Council of Egypt is one of the main partners, alongside several Egyptian institutions supporting the development of the apparel and textiles sector. The project targets a number of selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, such as Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco, in addition to other countries in Asia. In this context, the Apparel Export Council of Egypt hosted an intensive two-day “Training of Trainers” (ToT) program on Resource Efficiency and Circular Production (RECP), using the Green Performance Toolkit provided by the ITC. The program aims to enable experts and trainers to practically apply the ITC’s methodology and tools, allowing them to transfer this knowledge to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt to help them: • Improve resource efficiency, such as water and energy consumption, • Reduce operational costs, • Implement circular production practices through reuse and recycling. A new step toward a more sustainable and efficient apparel industry!
