As part of a new step to strengthen the presence of Egyptian apparel products in European markets and open promising export opportunities, the Apparel Export Council of Egypt (AECE) organized a workshop titled: “Enhancing Egyptian Apparel Exports to the Polish Market”, recognizing the importance of Poland as one of the key target markets within the European Union due to its significant growth potential and increasing demand for Egyptian products. The workshop was opened by Mrs. Sherin Hosni, AECE Executive Director, who emphasized that the Polish market is a top-priority destination for Egypt’s apparel sector, given the vast opportunities it offers to Egyptian exporters. The session was led by Dr. Elzbieta Juszczak, one of the most prominent consultants in the Polish market, who presented a comprehensive analysis of the sector, including: - The size of the Polish ready-made garments market. - Consumer behavior and consumption patterns. - Key commercial opportunities for Egyptian products. - Technical and commercial requirements and quality certifications in line with EU regulations. - Buyer preferences and market attractiveness factors. - Leading brands in the Polish market. - Effective strategies for market entry and analysis of competing markets. The workshop also highlighted that Egyptian Apparel Sector enjoy full customs exemption when entering the Polish market, under the Egypt-EU Partnership Agreement, which significantly boosts the competitiveness of Egyptian products within the European market. At the end of the workshop, one-on-one meetings were held between the Polish consultant and each participating company individually, to review their apparel samples.
