AECE in cooperation with the Egyptian Exporters Association Expolink and Egypt Textiles& Home Textiles Export Council – THTEC, organized the fourth edition of Destination Africa, which is one of the largest exhibitions held in Egypt, specializes in business meetings with the largest international companies and imported brands.
The exhibition organized on 1,500 square meters and included 150 apparel and textile Egyptian companies, as well as some exhibitors From African countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria from North Africa. Also, South Africa, Rwanda, and Ethiopia from southern countries. In addition to receiving more than 300 buyers from different countries all over the world.
The exhibition aims to emphasize Egypt’s pivotal position and its being a major African hub for supplying all the sector’s products from fibers, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles and accessories. This strategic industry in Egypt, which is characterized by a long history and a strong reputation, is based on the uniqueness of Egyptian cotton with high quality over many years.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, a number of workshops and discussion sessions were organized to present all aspects of sustainability in the field of textiles and apparel sector.
In addition to discussing changes in the global economy and its impact on African trading systems, and presenting the strategies that African countries should follow in achieving progress in global trade through proper management of supply chains, enhancing competitiveness and increasing the productive power of African countries, with an emphasis on Egypt being a major center for exporting textile and apparel products to all the African countries.
