The Riad Group started as a family business in the 1930s by its founder Samy Riad. It was established as Fabrique de Flanelles Samir in 1947, focusing on the production of knitted fabric & ready-made garments for export. Today, Riad Group is a vertically integrated textile & apparel producer, supplying quality products to leading international brand names & department stores. The group consists of 3 companies, Fabrique de Flanelles Samir, Egyptian Textiles for Dyeing & Finishing & Tiba Textiles and specializes in cotton and manmade fiber knit production.

One of the first exporting textile companies in Egypt, Riad Group has been exporting all of its production since the early seventies to European and US Markets. Riad Group is a vertical organization, and has knitting, dyeing, printing (fabric and piece printing), embroidery, cutting and sewing facilities. Only the best quality yarns and dyestuffs are used, sourced from the most prominent suppliers worldwide. Employing more than 3,000 high quality staff, Riad Group uses recruitment programs to attract both skilled and unskilled labor, and offers intensive training programs at in-house training centers.
